Tantric
cult and esoteric cult is observed by another
section of the buddists. There, hither and thither
we can find the primitive cult practices.
After
dwapara yuga, hinduism followed the athmic line
of practice. The basic book of ours is the four
vedas. The upanishads gives details about the
mind tranquilising practice. The brama sutra
of Vyasa tells about the conscious touch. Gita,
upanishads and bramasutra are our trinity books
(prasthana thrayam).
In
the path of cult practices mentioned earlier,
the union with the univeral power is obtained
with sheer practice without creating the athma
within the self. Since this result is obtained,
it is not relevant to change the guna of a person.
Since the individual obtains the absolutism,
the concept of rebirth or lineage are all irrelavant.
In
the practice of the athmic way of religion,
all the expericences including the union with
the universal power is obtained through the
athma. Here guna is relevant and rebirth and
lineage are also relevant. These are the differences
between the two approaches, one which follows
the hard way of cult practices and the other
which follows the soft way of athmic line of
thinking.
